Socrates' Lone Riders by ~notit:iconnotit:

Put out the fire,
Extinguish your ire,
Pack up – we’ve got to go.
Where we’ll be, I don’t ever know.

Just lone riders in a terrible dream.
I am lost, so are you –
We don’t belong in this dream
Gotta escape, gotta wake, gotta fly into the blue

You and I, forever refugees
We’ll never survive – we don’t believe in the false effigies
We’re like the free man of Socrates’ Cave
We see the light, but can’t teach the mob to behave.

Here we are, come with me.
Jump into the void, we’ll see the light.
Over the void, that’s prosperity.
We’ll be happy finally, basking in enlightenment.
